Fresh green apple flavour recipes

Recipe 1- Green Apple Crumble Cake

This recipe is in three parts that will be cooked separately and then assembled together for a stunning crumble cake.

Serves- 8-10 people

Prep time- 30 mins

Baking time- 10 mins for the crumble and 30 mins for the sponge

1. Apple Confit

Ingredients-

  • Green Apple- 100g
  • Water- 25ml
  • Sugar- 75g
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour- Few drops
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Fresh Green Apple Flavour- Few drops

Method-

Dice the apples and cook them in a mixture of sugar and water until they are tender. Next, add a few drops of the Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour and a few drops of Fab Premium Oil Soluble Fresh Green Apple Flavour.

2. Crumble

Ingredients-

  • Flour- 120g
  • Icing sugar- 50g
  • Butter- 75g
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour- Few drops

Method-

Take the flour and mix it with icing sugar. Next, add chilled butter. It’s important for the butter to be chilled to achieve a crumbly texture because if the butter is soft, the crumble is going to become pasty. Rub the mixture with hands until small crumbles are formed. To this, add a few drops of Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour and bake this in a pre- heated oven at 175°C for 10 mins or until golden brown.

3. Sponge

Ingredients-

  • Castor Sugar- 4tbsp
  • Milkmaid- ½ cup
  • Meetha Soda- ¼ tsp
  • Lemon Juice- 1 tsp
  • Milk- ½ cup
  • Baking Powder- ½ tsp
  • Maida (heaped)- 1 ¼ cup
  • Butter- 80gms
  • Lemon Rind- ¼ tsp
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour- Few drops
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Fresh Green Apple Flavour- Few drops

Method-

Take soft or just about melted butter and beat it with castor sugar till it’s light and fluffy. Add milkmaid to the butter and sugar mixture and beat it again. Now, sift the maida, baking powder and meetha soda into this mixture. Next, add the rest of the ingredients- milk, lemon juice, Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour, Fab Premium Oil Soluble Fresh Green Apple Flavour and lemon rind. Mix everything together till you achieve a smooth and even batter.

Final Assembly-

Grease an 8" tin and pour in the sponge batter. Layer this with the crumble and press it very gently. Spread a generous layer of apple confit over it. Finally, bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35mins.

Recipe 2- Green Apple Caramel Trifle

This recipe is in four parts that will be assembled in shot glasses for an apPEELing dessert.

Serves- 2-4 people

Prep time- 30 mins

Finishing time- until the dessert chills

1- Cinnamon Apple

Ingredients-

  • Green Apple- 100gm
  • Water- 50 ml
  • Sugar- 75gm
  • Cinnamon Powder- a pinch
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour- few drops

Method-

Thoroughly wash the apples then peel and chopped them. Add sugar, water and cinnamon powder to the apples and place the pan on heat. Cook the apples for 15-20 mins or until they are tender. Allow it to cool in room temperature.

2- Caramel Sauce

Ingredients-

  • Granulated Sugar- ½ cup
  • Heavy Cream- ¼ cup
  • Butter- 2 tbsp (room temperature)
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Intense Irish Cream Flavour- few drops

Method-

On medium to low flame, heat sugar until it melts and starts to golden amber. Remove it from the heat, add butter and whisk till it’s properly combined. Add heavy cream to this mixture and whisk it constantly till it is even. Set it aside to cool to room temperature. Once it has cooled add few drops of Fab Premium Oil Soluble Intense Irish Cream Flavour.

3- Whipped Cream

Ingredients-

  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Green Apple Flavour- few drops
  • Cream- Whipped

Method-

Whip the cream till stiff peaks. Add a few drops of Fab Premium Oil Soluble Green Apple Flavour and trust us this is going to be the secret that will make this recipe stand out. Make sure not to cheap out with a water soluble flavour because cream has high fat content for which oil soluble flavours are definitely the better pick.

4- Crunchy Granola

Ingredients-

  • Oats- 50gms
  • Pumpkin Seeds- 50gms
  • Sunflower Seeds- 50gms
  • Cranberries- 50gms
  • Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour- few drops

Method-

Roast oats, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in the oven for 10-15 mins. Add few drops of Fab Premium Oil Soluble Cinnamon Ceylon Flavour on top and add chopped cranberry to it.

Final Assembly-

Grease an 8" tin and pour in the sponge batter. Layer this with the crumble and press it very gently. Spread a generous layer of apple confit over it. Finally, bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35mins.
